I should note that as I write this I am listening to the band Grizzly Bear. If you have not heard of them I'd suggest that you do because they are quite excellent. Their music is a combination of dreamy, epic, magical, and folk. Listen and you will know what I am talking about. Anyways, the reason I am writing is to brag about the Mars Volta Catalyst show I was present at last night. Mars Volta is utterly cool. That was my third time seeing them and I think they put on a great set. The energy was there and their new drummer really performed well. I don't think he even messed up one bit and the best part is that he was smiling throughout the show so you really know that he had a good time. Omar was all smiles too, especially when Cedric climbed his amp, stood on top of it and then proceeded to sit on it and ride it as if it was a horse. When he was done with that he got off and picked Omar up and carried him on his shoulders as Omar continued to play the guitar. Tonight I am going to see them again in Berkeley and I can't wait!

So when I got home after the show a surprised awaited me....the Science of Sleep! I can't stop thinking about how good that film is and my brother was nice enough to buy me a copy. I began watching it as soon as I got ready for bed, but I did not have the energy because it was gone at the Mars Volta show. I watched it this morning as I ate breakfast though...

And because I am not going to Cochella this year...I am going to this:

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE! CYPRESS HILL! THIS IS THE BEST LINEUP EVER!

I saw this truck on my way to Jeremiah's the other day. The photo was taken with my camera phone, looks good if I may say so myself. The crazy thing about it is that on my way home on the train I saw the same image, but tagged on a wall! Crazy! Coincidence!

I saw the Science of Sleep on Wednesday and I totally loved it! Gael cannot make a bad film. Everything that I have seen with him has been superb. He has a special charm and I just love the way he acts, so natural. I'm picky with actors. Either they have it or they don't. Quality is very important because when an actor puts his/her heart in the picture it comes through. Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of my favorites too. I really buy it when he acts. He performs so well that you forget you are watching a film because his action/speech is flawless. Ricky Gervais is another genious! He is damn funny. I've seen him in the Office (UK version) SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE AMERICAN ONE, and Extras. Dustin Hoffman is also excellent and my favorite woman actor is Julianne Moore and I LOVE America Ferrera from Ugly Betty.

I've been meaning to write about this. Vivienne Westwood has an exhibit at the De Young Museum. I am planning on checking it out soon, perhaps next week since it will be spring break and I will be school free. I'm taking a Public History class this semester and I am appreciating museums more and more. About two weeks ago I visited my local history museum, The San Mateo History Museum and found it quite entertaining. I could literally spend three hours checking it out (I only spent about two). I am taking Jeremiah there this Sunday and I am hoping I will actually have time to check out the second floor. Well the V. Westwood exhibit looks very promising considering it is the work of a master, don't get me started on the punk scene because I could go for hours...Here are two pics that I got from style.com For you men and women who enjoy fashion that website is quite a treat. Check it out.....

BTW, what is Danielle Steel wearing? Bubblegum? It's actually Christian Lacroix Haute Couture, she should have wore something Westwood. I think its cooler when the guests wear something made by the designer who the event is for...just my idea.

Uhh!! I'm pretty exited about this! Camille Rose Garcia (I love her name) is going to have an exhibit at the San Jose Museum of Art. This is great for me because it is literally three blocks from my school. The last time I was there, which was a while back I got to see the work of Yoshitomo Nara! I know! So COOL!
