Gucci, Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear

I am totally enamored with the following mini dresses. Gucci never fails to be rich, cool, and sexy. I especially LOVE the colors of these two looks and the lenght. Lately, I've been wearing a lot of short dresses this season. Not this beautiful of course, but I can dream right? :)

The above dress totally reminds me of the couch that my family and I used to have in our living room. The dress has that upholstery heavy look that I am in love with and it has the shine and sparkle. I've seen a couple of vintage dresses from the 60's that look very similar at La Rosa on Haight, but sadly not in my size, this one I tried on for my grad party a few months ago:

TSE, Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear

I am a new fan of this label. The coffee place where I currently work at is directly accross from the TSE store and I simply have not been able to drift my attention from the simplicity and coolness of the clothing. Right now there are a lot of navy blues and white pieces (my current fav colors). I saw the long white dress in person and it is absolutely precious. I would totally not mind wearing it as my wedding dress, not that I am thinking/planning about tying the knot anytime soon.

All photos from Style.com, with the exception of the cheap camera pic I personally snapped. Guess which one it is:)
I'm such a lousy blogger. It's been a while since I last wrote an entry. Many many events have happened since I last tuned in. First thing is first. In May I graduated from SJSU with a degree in History and minor in Mexican American Studies. My college experience was absolutely phenomenal. I learned so many things about the world and about myself as well. I am forever a supporter of higher education and I hope to encourage others to pursue college because it was one of the best things that happened in my life.

The month of May was painful. I had so many things to take care of prior to the graduation so the natural thing to do was to celebrate the joyous occasion! The grad party was beautiful and I have tons of pictures to share if only I could get the damn files to cooperate. My sister and I celebrated our graduations together and we had tons of family and friends show up. There were probably 100-150 of our closest peeps there. My entire family contributed to the celebration. My mom's brother and his wife (my uncle Francisco and aunt Guille) cooked an amazing dinner: chiles rellenos, chicken, salmon cooked with corn*my favorite*, rice, beans, and veggies). My dad's sister's daughter (cousin Erika) made the invites, family friends from Napa brought tons of wine, my mom's sister (aunt Paty) made two cakes *one chocolate upon my request*, my father Djed, and my mother organized the whole thing and created the flower center pieces and decor for the party. I state all this because I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful family and friends that I have. Seriously, I have been blessed with A LOT.

The grad party was also very important to my family and I because we took the opportunity to thank the wonderful family who paid for my sister's and my college education. It's a long story, but like I said, I am blessed. I took on a job at a coffee shop and am eagerly hunting for a job before I go back to school to get my teaching credentials. Send me your good vibes my friends!
