Yesterday night was the From Monument to Masses show at Bottom of the Hill. Jeremiah and I hung out at our friend's place and we were having such a great time, but we still managed to make it to the city for the show. The place was packed and we came in just before the band played which was awesome because I did not want to wait and endure two annoying bands play before FMTM came on. The show ended up being okay. I think we were all feeling drained out and the show dragged a bit long. Their new songs were not the best, but they put on a great performance because they were happy to be playing. After the show we stuck around for a bit so Jeremiah could promote the 4/24 show and after that we returned to our homes and I passed out until noon this morning.
I was planning on going to Troupe Vitalis' Streetlight Show, but I think I'm going to save my energy for tonight when I get to see one of the greatest people in the world, MR. IGGY POP. Jeremiah read in the paper that today is his 60th birthday and I am honored that I will be present at the show to celebrate with him. Ever since I read Please Kill Me a couple of years ago I fell in love with the movement. The Stooges will be playing at the Warfield, which is an excellent location because the sound is really sharp there. It's an old theatre, but we have general admission so we are going to park ourselves in the spot where we always go to because it has the best view in the house. I won't say where because the spot's location will be revealed, but I promise that it is perfect.
Also, I am very ecstatic because we managed to snag tickets to see Conan O'Brien when he makes his SF stop. We have tix for Wed., May 2nd. IT SHOULD BE GREAT. Conan is hands down the funniest late night comedian EVER.
