I'm in love. I'm in love with a beautiful song. I listen to this particular song multiple times each day because it makes me feel peaceful and happy. "The Crystal Ship" by the Doors is pure magic. This song is concrete evidence of the poetic genious of Jim Morrison. The lyrics are absolutely supreme. The pace of the music and the vocals are just right. Gosh I fuken love them. I totally regret not seeing Ray Mazarek live last year. I am a huge admirer of how the keyboards sound in this band because they are gloomy and they remind me of an organ. They have an airy sound and they compliment the drums down to a t.

The Crystal Ship:
Before you slip into unconsciousness
I'd like to have another kiss
Another flashing chance at bliss
Another kiss, another kiss

The days are bright and filled with pain
Enclose me in your gentle rain
The time you ran was too insane
We'll meet again, we'll meet again

Oh tell me where your freedom lies
The streets are fields that never die
Deliver me from reasons why
You'd rather cry, I'd rather fly

The crystal ship is being filled
A thousand girls, a thousand thrills
A million ways to spend your time
When we get back, I'll drop a line

Jim Morrison happened to write a beautiful song about love without being too damn obvious, cheesy, or cliche. That is the worst thing, writing songs that are cliche. What is even more worse is writing cliche songs about love.
