This happens to be my 80th post and the first of the New Year. 2007 was awesome and not so much at the same time and I am glad about what is in store for the future. The year ended well, Andrea celebrated her 22nd birthday...so we had a couple of celebrations including a family dinner on the actual day of her birthdate...

As mentioned before I welcomed 2008 at the First Annual New Year's Eve Experience at the Bill Gram Auditoruim in SF. I have to say that it was the best party in the city the night. The Eternals, Peanut Butter Wolf, Nobody, and DJ Dennis and the Mars Volta performed to the coolest and best dressed of San Francisco. I was somewhat disappointed because even though the Mars Volta requested that their fans wear a costume, not everyone dressed up. Nonetheless I was inspired by the beautiful costumes and non-costumes that people wore. For example, there were a group of girls dressed up as the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumm, and Winter. There were a couple of random Waldos to the amusement of my brother and I. There were also some fans who dressed up as Omar of the Mars Volta, afro included and I also saw a copuple of other people wearing a head bag like the art on their album cover. I saw a lot of girls with beautiful makeup and wigs and I would have snapped some photos, but the security was being a-holes and made me leave my memory stick outside.

Now for my costume...I had a difficult time choosing one because I wanted to be creative and original, but I totally struggled. I frantically went to Haight street before work and picked out a smashing dress that I decided to rock and dress up as Cleopatra...COMING AT YA! I've always wanted to be Cleopatra because frankly, she wore the coolest makeup in history so I opted to resucitate her spirit for that evening (here I am pictured waiting for the damn subway to arrive):

Jeremiah was a lion tamer and yes, that is a real whip...and my brother was the Joker from the new film that is coming out with Heath Ledger.

At the show, midnight...Cedric counted down from ten during their set and balloons fell from the ceiling.

BEST NEW YEARS EVER.
